Β This intermediate level slip style top or dress comes in women’s sizes Grey – Red π see size chart below.Β Suitable for woven fabrics with nice drape: chiffon, poly chiffon, voile, lawn, rayon challis, peach skin, poly blends, chambray, piquΓ©, etc. The Mama Quinn has a v neck line that is finished with a facing or you can fully line. There are no darts or closures, which makes this very quick to sew up. 4 lengths include cropped, top, above the knee dress and maxi lengths. Choose a double v back for more coverage or choose straight back with optional elastic. You can choose center straps, criss cross straps or straps that tie at the shoulders. The slip style is fitted on top, straight through the waist and just enough ease through the hips to sit and walk. It hugs the body beautifully and can be layered with a cardigan, sweater or blazer for work. Wear it as an actual slip under dresses or make a nightie or pajamas. It’s easy to dress up the cropped length with a pencil or high waist pants, the above the knee dress and maxi lengths are perfect for date night. The layered, computer digitized, color coded, ‘no trim’ pages are QUICK to put together! Measurements are given in the tutorial to cut optional binding pieces, halter back and halter straps.Β Detailed, precise instructions with full color photos to teach and guide you along the way are perfect for beginners. Finished my Mama Quinn last night! I chose to do the v front and back, with facing. I did it in a rayon spandex knit and added clear elastic to the inside of the straps to help with stability.
Itβs a quick sew! Cutting a maxi was a little daunting, but constructing the dress only took about 20 minutes. Itβs super chic and so quick, Iβll probably have four more by this time next week!

This pattern is awesome! I did a double v neck dress option with a woven lining and stretch sequin mesh main. The directions don’t give a lot of information specifically on a full lining (i.e. when/how to do side seams), but it’s pretty easy to figure out based on the rest of the pattern. I also took a couple of extra steps due to the weight of the sequin fabric, which worked great. Very easy to fit as well. I will be making a hundred more!
