This week we released two patterns that are perfect summer staples- the girls Quinn and Mama Quinn. Make sure to check out Megan’s post on Mama Quinn here!
Quinn is a v neck top, tunic, dress and maxi. It has 2 different bodice lengths and includes 2 different skirt styles- a-line which fits perfectly to the bodice OR a gathered skirt. The a-line skirt is in tunic length with 2 ruffles at the hem or leave off the ruffles for a-line top length. The gathered skirt includes 3 lengths- top, dress with or without ruffle and maxi length. You can use the empire or longer bodice length on any gathered skirt option. The back includes directions for both elastic casing and shirring. Optional pockets are oh so sweet and perfect for little hands. The straps cross in the back and tie at the shoulders. With the different bodice lengths, skirt styles and lengths the possibilities are endless!!
Quinn comes in our full girl’s range – size 1/2-14.
Our testers blew us away with their gorgeous creations and the number of Quinn’s they made! So get ready to be wowed 🙂!!
Quinn Can be made with a shirred back or an elastic back. Both look great!

Shirred Back

Elastic back ‘Faux Shirring’
Top Length Quinn pairs perfectly with our Olivia Bloomers, Evie Pleated Shorts, Bonny leggings in shortie length, or Lucy Shorts. The top length bodice is an empire waist length, and is slightly shorter than the dress length bodice.
The A-line Tunic features a skirt that fits perfectly to the bodice and a double ruffle hem. Leave the ruffles off for a super quick top that is a perfect scrap buster! The tunic length bodice also is an empire waist length, and is slightly shorter than the dress length bodice. I suggest leaving the pockets off for the A-line tunic, or adding a single pocket as many testers did! Tunic length Quinn also pairs perfectly with our Olivia Bloomers, Evie Pleated Shorts, Bonny leggings in capri or ankle length, Hailey Ruffle Pants, or Lucy Shorts.
Now for dress length. Dress length Quinn is designed to hit right at/above the knee, for a sweet vintage look. The dress/maxi length bodice is designed to hit at the natural waist. Some of our testers used pre-made trim for the straps, which made this a very quick sew!! For a fuller skirt, feel free to add width to your skirt, or use the WOF (width of fabric).
The dress length with ruffle gives Quinn an extra special sweet factor. Quinn is also perfect for layering, making it a great dress for spring and fall too!
Lastly, we have maxi length! Maxi length skims the ankle for little ones (no tripping!) and hits right above the ground for our older girls. Perfect for those special occasions!
Of course, we can’t forget about all of those sweet pockets!
So many of our testers looked adorable matching their mama too! Check them out ; )
