Want to add trim to your Millie Romper or dress?  It’s so easy to do… just follow these simple steps:

Before you sew up the side seams of your shorts/dress, lay your bottoms out flat.

On the wrong side, iron your hem tape on to the bottom of your shorts/dress.  Peel off tape and press up 1/2″ towards wrong side of fabric.

Lay your trim on the right side of your bottoms and pin.  Top stitch your trim on shorts, catching your hem on the other side.

Cut off the excess trim on either side of your bottoms.

Next, we are going to fold our shorts in half, right sides together.  Make sure you carefully line up your trim edges.  Stitch/serge the side seams.  If you are doing a dress, pin the front and back of your dress together at the side seams, carefully lining up your trip edges.  Then stitch.

Repeat on the other leg and admire your cute romper bottoms.  Continue along with the Millie pattern to finish your Romper.
