We introduced our new Best Friends Collection yesterday and today we’ll show you a little more about each pattern. First we have updated two of our patterns. Hailey and Rose Ruffle top. Both patterns were boutique inspired and fit perfectly with the other patterns in the collection. 

If you have already purchased Hailey or Rose Ruffle, there is no need to repurchase. If you bought via Craftsy or here on the site, simply log into your account and re-download. Note the original download link will not work; you need to download directly through your account. If you purchased of Etsy, you will receive an email from updates@madeformermaids.com It takes me 7-10 days to send out Etsy updates. It is a long process for me and I try to go through as quick as possible. Our Hailey Ruffle Shorties & Pants includes sizes 1/2 to 14.  This is such a fun pattern. No side seams make for a quick sew and great for prints (no matching stripes at side seams, yay). The perfect pants that aren’t too wide or narrow. The main pant, bottom ruffle and optional waist ruffle can be made from a woven or knit. The soft knit waistband is comfortable and practical.

We have added a shorties length and it is so cute paired with a top or worn under a tunic. One of our testers, Liesel, made a pair using lace as the ruffle this spring when we were testing Harper and it looked so beautiful I had to add the option! Just a note on my daughter’s shorites, I was working with too small amount of fabric, so my ruffles aren’t as wide as the pattern calls for. I packed my fabric too soon 😉 

Of course we have a pant length too.

The optional waist ruffle meant to look like an undershirt peeking out and you can use knit, woven or even lace.  It’s a great way to use a coordinating fabric or add a pop of color.

Up next is our Rose Ruffle Top. Includes sizes 1/2 to 14. Rose is a slim fit knit top with sweet ruffle sleeves. The sleeves come in both mid-length and long sleeves.

Perfect for layering with dresses, adding HTV/appliques or everyday wear.

Quick and easy to put together, this will quickly become a staple in your daughter’s wardrobe. Hem the ruffle, leave it raw, add a rolled hem or lace in place of the ruffle. Even add a double ruffle or triple ruffle for more frills. 

Last let’s look at the Barbie headband, the ideal accessory to top off your daughter’s outfit! The 4 sizes included cover sizes 1/2 to 14. Barbie is a wide knit headband with 3 flower options. You can use knit or woven fabric for the flowers- or a combo. Leave your headband plain or stack the 3 shabby flowers on top. You could also make the flowers and add a single clip or pin to the back if your daughter isn’t into headbands. Or just add a single flower or bow to the headband. You can add buttons, tulle, trim, etc to add even more frills! It is the fabulous way to use up scrap fabrics and coordinate your little one’s outfit. It’s quick, easy and really puts the outfit over the top.
