We added two new knit patterns to the shop last Friday!  Blair Top & Tunic and Mama Blair!  Both are loaded with options and different hemlines.  The fabulous Raspberry Creek Fabrics sponsored these patterns and sent us some beautiful French Terry to use in the tutorial.  Seriously. Gorgeous. Fabric!  Go check out RCF!!!

We just can’t get enough of Mommy & Me.  Take a look at some adorable Blair & Mama Blairs.

Blair for Girls ~ Loose fitting a-line top and tunic.  Scooped v-neck with raglan-style sleeves.  Main body is suitable for knits including: french terry, sweater knits, cotton lycra, jersey, rayon spandex, interlock, etc.  Ruffles can be made using leight-weight knit or light, drapey wovens such as georgette or chiffon.  Available in sizes 1/2 through 14.  Lace can be added to any hemline!

Options include:
*Ruffled Top
*High Low
*Rainbow hem
*Hemmed Tunic
*Short, 3/4, or Long sleeves
*Single or Double ruffle
*Optional pockets

The Ruffled Top is oh-so-sweet!  Add a double ruffle or lace to change up the look!

We decided to name this hemline the “Rainbow hem” because that is exactly what it looks like!  The front and back bodice have a dramatic rainbow shape.  The center of the curve comes up fairly high, so I recommend using an opaque fabric- meaning NOT SEE THROUGH, if you are concerned about modesty.  I used a georgette from Hobby Lobby that was a dream!  It had perfect drape and opacity to it!  A lot of our testers used knit and that had a gorgeous look to it as well!  Check out these Rainbow Hems…

And last, but not least… the hemmed tunic!  

 

Mama Blair~ Mama is a scooped v-neck with raglan-style sleeves.  It is fitted in the chest and straight through hips.   Suited for knits such as french terry, sweater knits, cotton jersey, ITY, rayon spandex, etc.  Ruffle can be made with light-weight knit or wovens.  For Mama version, our favorite ruffles were made out of rayon spandex blends.  Lace can be added to any hemline!

*High low with ruffle
*Ruffled tunic
*Hemmed tunic
*Short, 3/4 or Long sleeves
*Optional pockets
