Happy New Year, Mermaids!  We released our first two patterns of 2017 this week.  The Claire and Mama Claire 2-way Dolman Top. Yes, you read that right…. “2-way”!  Claire is a unique pattern in that you can wear it with the crossover in front or in back.  It’s so versatile and gives you a fantastic style either way you wear it.  We’re going to do a round-up of each with pattern details and tester photos of the options.

Suitable for any light to medium weight knit fabric with good recovery: brushed polyester, sweater knit, french terry spandex, rayon spandex, jersey, etc. will have more drape.  More stable knits like ponte, double knit, poly lycra, cotton lycra, liverpool, etc. will be more structured. NOTE- If you choose a fabric with poor recovery, your shirt may stretch out of shape.  You may even want to size down in this case.  For the neckband, you will need to use something with good recovery and at least 50% stretch.

Top with short waistband will hit at high hip. Top with tall waistband will hit mid-booty to just below booty depending on how you style it.  You can pull it down the whole way for a more tunic-looking top- great to wear with leggings, or you can scrunch the band up for a shorter tunic.

Let’s talk about Mama Claire first…
This top is so much fun and versatile.  It is perfect and flattering for every day occasions, or wear out on the town for a girls’ night, date night, party, etc.  It has just the right amount of sexy factor.  Either way you wear it, it looks fun, stylish and flirty. Claire for girls… Claire is designed to have a different fit than the mama version.  This is so our littles can still match mama, but have an age-appropriate top.  The “reversible” factor is a big favorite with all of our little models.  Even the tiniest toddlers can dress themselves and not have to worry about their shirt being backwards. Sizes 1/2 through 14 (see measurement chart below)
