Made for Mermaids Sewing Patterns are digital downloads. You will print OR project them at home, OR send them to a copy shop to print. This is not a physical garment or pattern, and nothing will be mailed to you.

Veronica is a classic knit teddy with beautiful and flattering seaming. The cups and body panel seaming offer support and a fun twist with picot elastic in the seams. Includes SBA (small bust adjustment) and FBA (full bust adjustment) pieces. The under bust seam has plush elastic for added support. The back has a center seam for a beautiful fit. Choose from a straight back or faux corset back. Both back options are finished with picot elastic. Choose from a thong or cheeky bottoms, again both finished with picot elastic. Lastly, choose from fixed or adjustable straps. You can choose to use all one fabric or multiple fabrics on the panels for fun pops of color and different looks. Veronica is a quick and perfect way to jump into lingerie sewing. Includes video tutorial for all options.

Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements):

• •Fits upper bust sizes 31″-53″ or 78.7-134.6 cm
• •Fits full bust sizes 30″-60″ or 76.2-153.4 cm
• •Fits under bust sizes 26″-52″ or 66-132.1 cm
• •Fits natural waist sizes: 23″-57″ or 58.4-134.6 cm.
• •Fits full hip sizes: 34″-64″ or 86.3 – 162.5 cm.

Skill level:

• •Intermediate- Sewing delicate fabrics may be tricky, along with adding picot elastic to the seams.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Drafted for light to medium-weight knits with at least 50% horizontal stretch, 40% vertical stretch, and good recovery.
  • •Stretch mesh, stretch lace, double brushed polyester, most ribbed knit, cotton lycra, etc.
  • •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit.
  • •Lighter weight knits without recovery, such as rayon spandex, modal, bamboo, etc., tend to ‘grow with wear’ and are not recommended.
  • •Fabrics with less vertical stretch (such as stretch velvet) or fabrics with strong recovery (such as athletic knit) will fit tighter and may need added length.

Notions:

• • 3/8″ picot elastic for panel seams, cup seams, finishing the neckline and leg line. You can use a wider picot, you’ll have more picot showing in the seam.
• •1/2″ plush finishing elastic for the under bust seam. You can choose whatever width you prefer. A thicker elastic will give you more support.
• •1/2″ plush strapping elastic for straps. Again, you can choose whatever width you prefer.
• •Optional for adjustable straps: 1/2″ rings and sliders (or to match whatever width strap elastic you choose).
• •Faux corset back: 1/8″ elastic
• •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, safety pin or bodkin, marking tool, and hem gauge.
