Made for Mermaids Sewing Patterns are digital downloads. You will print OR project them at home, OR send them to a copy shop to print. This is not a physical garment or pattern and nothing will be mailed to you.

Tess is the perfect everyday tee.

Women’s Tess Features:

  • •Made for knit fabrics.
  • •Semi-fitted in the chest and hips, and slightly looser through the waist, making it very flattering.
  • •4 neckline options: high scoop, low scoop, high v-neck, or a low v-neck.
  • •3 hemline options: crop (hits at the high hip), hemmed top, or a curved top.
  • •5 sleeve options: tank top, short sleeves,3/4, long sleeves, or long sleeves with cuffs.
  • •Optional chest pocket.

 

Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements):

  • •Fits upper bust sizes 31″-53″ or 78.7-134.6 cm
  • •Fits full bust sizes 30″-60″ or 76.2-153.4 cm
  • •Fits natural waist sizes: 23″-57″ or 58.4-134.6 cm.
  • •Fits full hip sizes: 34″-64″ or 86.3 –162.5 cm.

 

Skill level:

  • •Beginner

 

Suggested Fabrics:

  • •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit. Drafted for lightweight knits with at least 40% stretch.
    • Rayon spandex, jersey, sweater knit, lightweight french terry, ITY, brushed poly work well.
    • Heavier weight or fabrics with strong recovery (such as custom fabrics) will not drape well and are not recommended.

Notions:

  • •Optional: 1/2″ wash away hem tape, knit twin needle.
  • •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, and marking tool. Ballpoint, stretch, or jersey needle.
