Today is our final sewing day of the Calliope Sew-a-long! Today we are adding our band, but you can also take time to catch up if you’re running a little behind. We know how life gets during the week!

Remember to close up the short edges of your band first, using 1/4″ seam allowance. This will give you a clean finish when you attach your band. Then, you’ll want to make sure your fabric is folded in half with wrong sides together. before you attach. Match up raw edges, then sew together!

Don’t forget:

• hem allowance is included on pattern pieces
• you can baste the ends of the band before serging/attaching if you are worried about the bands sliding/moving while you attach
