Holy cow, this week is flying right on by! Today is Day 5 of the sew-a-long. Nothing too scary – we’re just working on our sleeves and side seams.
I do show a little bit of the Pepper sleeve hack, for those of you that might be struggling with the lines on the gathered Pepper sleeve! I tried to show where the Pepper hack begins and ends in the video to hopefully eliminate confusion. They are attached the same way as the regular Carli sleeves, in terms of clipping to the armscye and matching up raw edges.
After I show the gathering, the remainder of the video is back to the regular Carli 🙂
Don’t forget:
- Match the notch up with the shoulder seam, and then pin/clip the remainder of the sleeve cap to the armscye.
- When you’re sewing up the side seams, I like to match up bottom raw sleeve edges, bottom raw hem edges, and the underarm seam, with clips placed throughout.
Want to sew along with me? Check out today’s video!
If you have questions about the sleeves or side seams, you are always welcome to post in our SAL group so we can help you! Be sure to check in each day during the SAL, and look for daily posts to enter our giveaways. We can’t wait to see what you create this week!
