Happy Me Made May! Can you believe we’re already on Day 11? It’s been so much fun to see all of your me-made creations so far.
We wanted to highlight a couple patterns for Feature Friday, but more importantly, feature a couple of YOU gorgeous ladies! Check out some Me Made May outfits below from a few of the ladies in our Made for Mermaids and Patterns for Pirates pattern groups.
Shannon – Mama Stella and Girl’s Bree Cami
Shannon’s off-shoulder Mama Stella is SO perfect for the cooler spring days we seem to keep having. She used the Girls’s Bree cami pattern to make a layering piece, but you could use Mama Bridgette (or mash the Essential Tank with the Mama Bridgette racerback for a similar look while you wait for Mama Bree to make an appearance 😉 ) If you haven’t grabbed Mama Stella yet, it’s loaded with options: different sleeve lengths; four different back options (v back, keyhole, off shoulder, and solid); tunic and top lengths; and the icing on the cake is everything is banded so no hemming! See more of Shannon’s creations on Instagram @indoorShannon.
Roxanne – Patterns for Pirates Favorite Tee Tunic (with added length)
How much do you love Roxanne’s entire outfit?! I love that she looks comfy but still so stylish and fun. She added a bit of length to Patterns for Pirates’ Favorite Tee pattern. The Favorite Tee is fitted at the bust and semi-fitted through waist and hips. Neckline options include both scoop and v neck, while sleeve options include short, 3/4 and long. Hem and length options include a banded knot tie hem, shirt length with side vent hem, tunic length with side vent hem, a curved tunic length and a curved dress length. Lots of fun options! Don’t forget to grab the {free!} updated Peg Legs patterns if you haven’t already. See more of Roxanne’s creations on Instagram @roxthing.
Lindsay – Mama Ella (with bands) and Mama Chloe Skirt
Lindsay’s been making good use of her spring capsule this month! I LOVE her pattern mixing in this outfit. Lindsay’s wearing Mama Ella with our {free!} Mama Chloe pattern. Ella features a top length, tie front with curved back, or dress length. The high back option is high enough to cover bra bands, or there is a low back option that’s great for featuring decorative bralettes like Mama Bridgette (or with a cami underneath). There is an optional ruffles, optional bands, and armholes are finished with knit binding. Lindsay opted for bands for a slightly different look, but just as a reminder it will end up a bit wider than with bindings if you don’t modify the armscye at all 🙂 Mama Ella also has a Sew-a-long (featuring optional flutter sleeves – so, so cute) already up on the blog here. Mama Chloe is a quick and easy sew if you need a few more warm-weather staples in your closet. See more of Lindsay’s creations on Instagram @tartlemondrop.
Amy – Boho Babydoll
Ok, I didn’t think I needed any sleeveless Patterns for Pirates Boho Babydolls, but Amy’s tank is so perfect for summer! The Boho Babydoll is drafted for those light, drapey knits that are perfect for the heat. The back curve is drafted perfectly to keep this style from looking frumpy. Options include a higher and lower neckline, tank bodice and sleeve options (short, 3/4, 3/4 with ruffle, and long), and several different lengths (high low top, curved top/tunic, curved dress, and slight high low maxi). If you prefer top length, you can pair it with one of our shorts patterns for an effortless look you can wear all summer (Linen Loungers, Mama Lexi, or Mama Lucy would all work great!). See what else Amy is up to in our Facebook groups!
Lisa – Mama Claire
Oh, Mama Claire. One of my very favorites! Mama Claire can be worn two ways, with the cross over in the front like Lisa is wearing, OR with the crossover if in the back. If you want to wear it with a double cross over, front and back, check out the hack post! It also includes three different hemmed sleeve options- short, 3/4 or long, perfect for year-round wear, and two length options (choose from a short waistband or tall waistband). If you need pants or shorts to pair with your Mama Claire, check out the shorts already linked above, or try the SOS Knit Pants! See more of Lisa’s creations on Instagram @lisadsews
