We’ve made it to the end of the week! All we have left to do today is hemming our Myas, and doing any finishing work you may have left (finishing serger tails, removing basting stitches, etc.).
Don’t forget:
- If you opt for hem tape, remember to use wash-away!
- Hem allowance is 1/2″. If you prefer more or less, you will want to modify your pattern pieces to reflect that.
Want to sew along with me? Check out today’s video!
If you have questions about hemming or any steps from the previous days this week, you are always welcome to post in our SAL group so we can help you! Be sure to check in each day during the SAL, and look for daily posts to enter our giveaways. We can’t wait to see what you create this week!

May I ask what the little trick is that you do when you are tying off at the end of your hem. I have never seen this done before.

I’m using a coverstitch and just knotted the threads 🙂 I pull the threads to the “wrong” side and then tie off
