I have always been careful about sewing with wovens, because of my general fear of adding in button holes and the fear that the fit won’t be right. I decided to take the jump with this, though, in search of finding something nice and cozy and simple for nightgowns, but also with the option to make a Christmas dress – I knew I loved the Joy, I loved the Catherine, I loved a few others… this is the one I have to leave a comment on. The Holly is absolutely unreal, it’s so easy to follow, it’s so elegant, so many options can take it from simple and sweet to something entirely boutique. I purchased this pattern last week, and I’ve already made SIX, I’m making the seventh now, and I already have the fabric purchased, washed, and cut out for THREE MORE. That’s how much I love this pattern. It’s an ultimate favorite!

Sooooo cute and so easy to follow. A bit tricky for this beginner but I managed to make my daughter her first real mama made dress for Christmas!
