The Ella knit top was one of the first non princess patterns I released.
The Mama Ella was the very first women’s pattern.
While I love the style of both, when I made one for my daughter for the first time in 2 years, I realized it was not up to par with my new patterns! Both have been completely re drafted for a better fit, more options added and updated women’s size range.
You can now choose from top length, tie front with curved back hem or dress length.
High or low back. For women the high back sits just above your bra band and low back below the bra band. The girls low back is much higher than the original pattern.
Pattern’s namesake, Miss Ella below 😉 You can add an optional ruffle to both high and low back.
The the women’s you can choose to add a straight or cross bands in the back. Highly suggested if you choose the low back option. Both can go on either the high or low back.
For girls you can choose a bow back, tie back or straight band. Any of these options can go on the high or low back. Ties can be made in knit or a woven.
The neck and armholes are finished with knit binding.
You can wear the no frills style as an everyday tank or layering tank. Tie front option is on trend and perfect to pair with fun skirts, high wasited shorts or pants. The dress hits above the knee and can be worn as a cover up or dressed up with all the bells and whistles for date night! I hope you fall in love with Ella like we have!
What if you already purchased one of the Ella patterns?? Check the chart below and it will tell you what to do!
