Today is Day 2 of our Carli sew-a-long! We’re just stitching up our shoulder seams, so it shouldn’t take at all!
Before we get started, remember that if you mash sizes for the front pieces of Carli, you will need to do the same for the back bodice pieces! Also double check that you’ve cut on the sleeved line (darker, outer line) or the sleeveless line (fainter, inner line), depending on which option you’ve selected. If you’re mashing with another pattern’s sleeve, make sure you’ve traced the correct armscye.
PSST! If you missed it, day 1 shows my Pepper + Carli mash. Still waiting to get modeled photos, but I love how it turned out!
Once you’ve sewn up your shoulder seams, that’s it for day 2! Super quick day 🙂
Don’t forget:
- Make sure you are taking an accurate and consistent seam allowance; seam allowance is included on all pattern pieces.
- Be sure that your back bodice pieces are cut as mirror images; check your pieces before you begin sewing.
- If you are worried about mixing pieces up, you can baste first to give you a chance to check your work!
