Welcome to Day 3 of our Carli SAL! Today we’re hemming up our neckline AND our back bodice hems. You can use your coverstitch or your regular sewing machine for this step, of course.
I promise even though it’s a day of just hemming, it’s not terrible!!
Don’t forget:
- For the crossover pieces, you will hem the whole neckline, and the curved bottom edge; don’t do anything with the side seams yet.
- For the twist back, you will hem hem the neckline between the two shorter notches; you should have a small portion one each end of the neckline that is NOT hemmed. You will also hem the curved bottom edges. Don’t do anything with the sides seams yet.
- Before you begin hemming, double check your shoulder seams to be sure you sewed the correct pieces to the correct side 🙂

If you have questions about hemming, you are always welcome to post in our SAL group so we can help you! Be sure to check in each day during the SAL, and look for daily posts to enter our giveaways. We can’t wait to see what you create this week!
