Can you believe we’re done sewing?! I’ll be honest – I’m 100% jealous of the hoodie I made for my youngest! Going to need to recreate it for myself, ASAP. I hope you love the hoodies you made this week, whether you were sewing for yourself or for someone else! I decided today that my son’s homeroom teacher is getting a Hudson for Christmas; shopping for teachers that you don’t know well can be difficult, so I’m excited to sew up a useful gift for him!
We’ll attach our hoods today! Some of you may find this easier than a traditional neckband, but the process is essentially the same!
Don’t forget:
- Cut notches out and away from paper pattern piece!
- Baste bottom raw edges to make the hood easier to work with; baste the notches as well
- Treat your notches as the center front of your hood
- Hood will act as neckband
Want to sew along with me? Check out today’s video!
If you have questions about attaching your hood, you are always welcome to post in our SAL group so we can help you! Be sure to check in each day during the SAL, and look for daily posts to enter our giveaways. We can’t wait to see what you create this week!
