Just about at the finish line for our Hudson sew-a-long! It’s been a quick week, that’s for sure. It’s been so fun watching your hoodies come together the last few days!
Today we’ll tackle the cuffs and waistband. In the video, I’ll show you two simple ways to prep your cuffs/bands! Either option will work just fine on Hudson 🙂 I also mention adding a little length to my waistband and cuffs; this is a really simple way to make your hoodies a little more “grow with me” friendly if you prefer!
Don’t forget:
- Seam allowance for attaching your cuffs/bands is 1/2″
- Quarter your bands/cuffs as well as your waist/sleeve openings
- You will need to stretch your bands to fit; if you notice SIGNIFICANT bunching, you may need to check your fabric content, double check your band/cuff measurements, etc. Much easier to troubleshoot before attaching!
Want to sew along with me? Check out today’s video!
If you have questions about attaching your bands and/or cuffs, you are always welcome to post in our SAL group so we can help you! Be sure to check in each day during the SAL, and look for daily posts to enter our giveaways. We can’t wait to see what you create this week!
