Megan T has been cracking herself up for a YEAR about this robe – and we are so, so excited to finally share the Marilyn MonRobe Glamour Robe in Mini, Knee, and Maxi lengths. Marilyn is the newest to our Lounge and Lace Collection, and whether you want to use it for your evil villain era, or simply add a little drama to your swim cover-up or everyday wear, we hope you love it!
Marilyn is a classic glamour robe. It’s designed for lightweight woven fabrics, or 2-way stretch mesh with excellent drape. Choose between three lengths – mini with a ruffle, knee length (no ruffle), or maxi with ruffle. The shoulders are gathered on both there front and back for a fun little detail. The front and hemlines are hemmed, and the back neckline has a bias finish. You also have three sleeve options to choose from – sleeveless with a drop shoulder, 1/2 circle with a rounded bell hemline (sleeve A), or a very dramatic high low half circle (sleeve B). Marilyn also includes an optional sash and belt loops. It’s truly the perfect dramatic robe for your next photoshoot, maternity photos, bridal shower, or wearing every day!

Fabric + Notions
Fair warning – the Marilyn MonRobe *is* a fabric hog, but the results are SO worth it! Fabric content will really affect the drape and fit of the robe. Choose a lightweight woven or 2-way stretch mesh with excellent drape, such as chiffon, charmeuse, organza, georgette, silk, tulle, rayon challis, lace, satin, nylon chiffon, etc. Fabric that is stiff or heavy will not lay properly.
For trim, you can use marabou trim/feather boas (Megan T suggests no less than 20g – for a nice full feather, opt for 30-40g instead), fringe, lace, etc.
Choosing Your Options
We have lots of tester photos in our FB group and on the site if you want to see a variety of photos of each option before you decide! Here is a quick snapshot of the different options:
Styling Marilyn
Marilyn is perfect for so many different things – murder mystery dinner parties, maternity gowns, swim cover-ups, so many ideas!
It’s Giving Brunch
At first, I didn’t picture myself ever wearing or needing this robe. The minute I saw this everyday version that Chandy made? 100% sold.
Kayla’s version paired with a bodysuit would look so cute for everyday wear, too! Throw on a pair of jeans or even shorts, and head out the door!
It’s Giving Poolside
It also makes a perfect swim cover-up – and you don’t have to stick to just the sleeveless mini option, either:
Stephanie made a maxi sleeveless version for sitting poolside, and it’s just as cute!
It’s Giving Baby Shower
We LOVE the Marilyn over a baby bump! It would be so cute for a baby shower, maternity photoshoot, even a fancy hospital gown depending on the options you chose.
It’s Giving Bridesmaids
Katy’s floral version in Rayon would be perfect for getting ready, a bridal party, bridal shower gifts, wearing over a tank to get your hair/makeup done for any formal event, and more!
It’s Giving Self Care
It’s Giving NSFW
Of course, it’s great to pair with lingerie, too, like our new Veronica teddy or Aphrodite thong:
It’s Giving Drama
It’s giving Murder Mystery. It’s giving Agatha Christie. It’s giving super suspicious widowed heiress. It’s giving CLUE.
Listen. I’m not saying Megan T is guilty – I’m just saying, that if we WERE playing Clue, I would absolutely guess Megan T, in the Billiards Room, with the fabric scissors….
And if it wasn’t Megan, well then it HAD to have been Stephanie. On the balcony with the mirror.
And it it wasn’t Stephanie, either, it was probably Tina in the foyer with a stiletto.
If Tina’s innocent too, well then I guess you’ll have to go check out the tester album for yourself!
We hope you have as much fun with the Marilyn MonRobe Glamour Robe as we’ve been having in our tester group – we can’t wait to accuse..I mean see what you’ve sewn up!
