Me Made May is always such a fun month in the sewing community; the challenge for the month can be as simple or as extravagant as you make it. The basic idea, though, is that each day during the month of May, you aim to wear one piece of clothing that *you* made. New to sewing or the sewing community and want to know more about the history of Me Made May? Check out the creator’s post here. We hope you have fun this month sewing new items, breathing new life in to old items, and getting inspiration from others that sew.
We asked our blog team over at Made for Mermaids to share some of their favorite makes with you all month long, and today’s post is a round up of the second week of Me Made May posts from the team, PLUS some of our team favorites from the Facebook group! We LOVE seeing what you make each day, and are so thankful that you choose to share your creations with us on social media!
NOTE: As some of these are older patterns, they may not be available in our full current adult size range, and/or may not be available in A0 or projector files. Be sure to check the size chart and information posted with each listing!
Week 2 Round Up:
Jade
Kelly is straight fire in this Jade! She made it out of swim, so if you’re hosting a pool party, she is showing up READY!
Nevaeh
We shared Liesel’s Deanna earlier this month, but now I need this Nevaeh top too. I’ll send her my address ASAP so she can send it right on over to me. How cute are all the little details?
Poppy
Amii is comin’ in her with this Poppy dress!! Her whole look is perfect for spring and summer, and would look just as cute layered with a jean jacket or chambray shirt on those random chilly nights.
Naomi
Stacey better give us some warning before she shows up in this Naomi! Love love love the fun, open back, and Stacey’s fabric choice.
Eloise
Jody made the most perfect Eloise! The fabric and color are giving me alllll the heart eyes. Just perfection. Are you on team fancy sleeve, or not so much?
Adeline
Shannon and this Adeline dress are a match made in heaven!! I am loving this color, this length, the scoop back – all of it!
Nina
I’ll never ever get tired of Nina, and this neon version that Katie made is so, so good for summer! Such a quick sew, and easy to throw on when it’s a billion degrees out.
