Me Made May is just flying by! I think for next year, I’m going to need to come up with some new poses so I have some photo variety. Haha!
We wanted to highlight a couple patterns for Feature Friday, but more importantly, feature a couple of YOU gorgeous ladies! Check out some Me Made May outfits below from a few of the ladies in our Made for Mermaids and Patterns for Pirates pattern groups.
CAITLYN– MAMA ISABEL
Caitlyn made this gorgeous Mama Isabel for her baby shower! How cute is she?! Mama Isabel is SO great for post-partum and nursing mamas, thanks in part to the wrap style. I’m neither of those, but you’ve likely seen me profess my Mama Isabel love already anyway 🙂 Mama Isabel (and the matching girls’ Isabel pattern)is a flattering wrap dress drafted for knits. Options include: sleeveless or sleeved bodice; SIX skirt options (top, mini, dress, tulip dress, maxi, and tulip maxi); and some fun hacks on the blog!
NICOLE – DAPHNE
Oh my cuteness! Nicole chose such a fun print for the Daphne. Daphne and Mama Daphne are great patterns for those gorgeous woven fabrics you just have to have (although they can also be made with knit if you prefer!). Daphne is an off-shoulder, peasant-style top or dress with several dress lengths (mini, knee, maxi and puddle maxi lengths). All dress options have elastic at waist. Sleeve options include three lengths (short, mid, or long, and with or without elastic), OR you could choose flutter sleeve or full ruffle. You can add tie-straps to any option as well. Add this to my list of summer-makes, too!
DARCY – MAMA LILY
Darcy rocked this amazing Mama Lily maxi! She added a lace tier and ruffled the bottom to give it a little more boho-vibe. This quick summer romper or dress comes is suitable for woven or lightweight knit fabrics with nice drape – voile, lawn, rayon challis, peach skin, poly blends, chambray, piqué, rayon spandex, ITY, poly knit blends, cotton jersey, cotton lycra, etc. The Mama Lily is a slim silhouette with elastic at the waist. Options include: inseam pockets; full front bodice or insert/overlay; knit or bias bindings; FOUR back options (full back, split, halter, or halter with straps); romper with 2 short inseams and 2 pant inseams; A-line skirt lengths in mini, knee, maxi, and puddle maxi. Darcy, just send this one over to me!! 🙂
ALEXANDRIA – MEGAN AND LEA ROMPER
Alexandria and her little one wore these perfect Megan (mama) and Lea (girls) rompers to the zoo! So sweet!
Lea is a quick and simple dolman style pattern, loaded with options. It features a knit bodice with elastic, hitting just above natural waist, and then finish with either a skirt or romper! Choose from a gathered knit skirt or gathered woven skirt in tunic or dress length, or a knit romper option in short or pants length. Add inseam pockets and/or bodice pocket to any skirt or romper option. The sleeves and romper legs can either be hemmed or finished with a rolled cuff. The neck is simply hemmed, and the back bodice has a slight scoop with optional back band. So cute, and quick to sew up!
The Megan pattern has a full crossover style bodice – very flattering, and another great option for nursing mamas! The bodice is blousy with a slight shoulder drop, and the neckline is finished with a band. Megan also features several sleeve lengths, romper inseam lengths, and of course, dress lengths if rompers aren’t your style!
