Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year! I have not sewn ANYthing since November!! NOVEMBER!! We were so busy with preschool functions, traveling to visit family, the holidays AND I decided to rearrange my entire house….so the house is a wreck and I am missing my machines! I have several patterns in the works and I am dying to get them out. I also desperatelyΒ wanted to get ALL the matching dolly patterns out and my older patterns updated before the new year, but time was not on my side. Hopefully I will be able to get those done SOON! My older patterns are not no trim and need to be formatted like my new ones. I will be posting in my group and page when they are done so make sure to ‘like’ and join to know when they are updated!
I will be hosting a sew-a-long in my groupΒ starting Monday January 12th. We will be sewing up the Rose Ruffle Top. It comes in sizes 1/2 to 14 , is a quick, easy knit top with mid-length OR long sleeves. Perfect for layering or wearing on it’s own. I love to pair it with my Hailey ruffle pantsΒ and my Katelyn Jumper! If you don’t have it yet, make sure to grab it will be ON SALE for $5 until 1/11.
You can win lots of fabulous prizes during the sew-a-long! Patterns from myself, my sisters- Patterns for Pirates and Cole’s Creations AND a $25 gift certificate to Purpleseamstress Fabric. YAY! Make sure you join the fb group and follow on instagram @madeformermaids and use the hashtags #m4msewalong #madeformermaids and #roserufflepattern .
Here are a few links to blog posts on the top…. And Thank you to Suzanne from Winter Wear Designs who said ‘The undershirt is my favorite top pattern of the year – the Rose Ruffle Shirt by Made for Mermaids (this is my fourth since the beginning of October).’ It makes my heart full! It’s always so nice to get a virtual high five from another designer!
