This made a great gift for my husband on his birthday to replace his old one that he left outside for 3 seasons. He won’t be leaving this one outside. ๐ I used heavier canvas and cotton webbing so since I couldn’t heat-seal the straps, I just folded over the ends and stitched on with the box and X pattern shown for the upper part of the strap. I was tired and somehow could not find the part about measuring the straps (finding the center and adding the clip — just found it now, lol) so I just winged it but it looks great. So even if you improv a bit late at night on no sleep, it still works out. He was not expecting it at all and it looks professional. Thanks for this free tutorial and pattern!
