The Sommer patterns (women’s, youth, dolly, and baby!) are our sew-a-long patterns for this month! Don’t have your copies yet? Grab them over here! This month’s sew-a-long is sponsored by Sincerely Rylee Fabrics, Thread & Grain, and of course, M4M and P4P.
Today’s steps are attaching the straps to the back bodice, and hemming! You’re welcome to get a little creative with your hemline – adding fun trim, doing a rolled hem, etc., but I just did a traditional hem on my coverstitch.
Also, remember that we have several Sommer hacks up on the blog, from Sommer’s release!
Don’t forget:
- Attach your straps at the top AND bottom edges of your binding to make sure it’s secure
- Be sure to check strap placement and length; it’s a great idea to try on before stitching!
Want to sew along with me? Check out today’s video!
If you have questions about any of the steps from this week, you are always welcome to post in our SAL group so we can help you! Be sure to check in each day during the SAL, and look for daily posts to enter our giveaways. We can’t wait to see what you’ve created this week!
