The Sommer patterns (women’s, youth, dolly, and baby!) are our sew-a-long patterns for this month! Don’t have your copies yet? Grab them over here! This month’s sew-a-long is sponsored by Sincerely Rylee Fabrics, Thread & Grain, and of course, M4M and P4P.
We are nearing the finish line! Today is Day 5, and we will be sewing our skirt side seams, and attaching the skirt to the bodice. Fair warning – today’s video is also quite lengthy.
Don’t forget:
- Attach elastic to the bodice using a stretch stitch
- Attach the bodice to skirt using a 1/2″ seam allowance using a stretch stitch on your sewing machine
- When you finish the raw edges of the skirt on your serger, disengage the knife so you don’t chop off your elastic!
Want to sew along with me? Check out today’s video!
If you have questions about today’s steps, you are always welcome to post in our SAL group so we can help you! Be sure to check in each day during the SAL, and look for daily posts to enter our giveaways. We can’t wait to see what you create this week!
