I know I can’t be the only mama putting together last minute Valentine’s Day outfits for my little ones! I did a quick inventory of my stash over the weekend, and discovered I was seriously lacking in anything red or pink. Luckily, there is NEVER a shortage of gray in this house, and I had just enough pink and red heat transfer vinyl to make these cute little heart face appliqués.
The cut file has several different face options, including glasses, eyelashes, eyes, and a mustache! My son tried out every face option possible – I printed all the features out and let him play around with them until he had a face he was happy with. I used the Rowan Raglan pattern, but added bands and cuffs to avoid hemming. 🙂
For my daughter, I also added heart elbow patches! I used the new Stella pattern with the Ainsley flutter hack. I lengthened the tunic length by 2.5″, and added the waistband per the pattern directions.
Megan paired it with the a v-back Stella sweater, a free Sydney Sailor Bow, and the soon-to-be-released Lexi + Lou Loungers! I can’t take the cuteness.
I’m so thankful that Valentine’s Day outfits are done, so I can focus on the rest of my last minute projects for this week. 🙂 Head on over to the Made for Mermaids Facebook group to grab the cut files for free (you can find them in the “files” section of the group!). Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your family!
