It’s already Day 4 of our Vivienne & Dylan sew-a-long! Just a quick note – you’ll notice that the steps vary depending on which pattern you’re sewing up, since construction is slightly different.
Working on Vivienne? Today we are attaching the side panels, and sewing our shoulder seams. You can use a serger for both steps, or a stretch stitch on a regular sewing machine Not sure which stitches to use? Check out one of our 101 blog posts here for some helpful beginner info.
Working on Dylan? Day 4 is attaching your sleeves.
Note – If you’re following a specific hack, your steps may vary!
Don’t forget:
- Make sure you are taking an accurate and consistent seam allowance!
- Be sure to press your waist seam toward the bodice for Vivienne, before attaching side panels
