Woohoo, we made it to Day 7 of our Vivienne & Dylan sew-a-long! I hope you were able to make some new items that you (or the person you sew for) love! It’s safe to say my own kids are big fans of both Vivienne and Dylan. 🙂
I was also excited to use up these scraps I’ve been hoarding! The existing panel pieces for Vivienne made it easier to fit the bodice on the scraps I had. I shortened it a bit to make sure I had enough for the Vivienne sleeve hack, and then used a different fabric to add a circle skirt. You can use any circle skirt calculator to determine the waist opening, and then just determine how long you would like your skirt to be!
We loved seeing all of your makes this week. If you started but haven’t had a chance to finish, or if you are planning to tackle this project later, the videos and blog posts will always stay up for you to refer back to! I’ve linked all the previous days at the bottom of this post.
Our winners for April are:
Elyse’s Vivienne is just gorgeous! I love the fabric Elyse chose (and how fun are those glasses?!?!) Elyse wins a gift certificate to Boho Fabrics, a $20 store credit for Made for Mermaids, and our favorite sewing machine necklace from Thread & Grain!
Lalani made four super cute Dylans – three with custom panels, and one basic black! I’m with Lalani – there is something so satisfying about sewing up staple pieces! Lalani wins a $20 store credit to Patterns for Pirates, and a sewing machine necklace from Thread & Grain.
A great big “thank you” to Thread & Grain and Boho Fabrics, our April sponsors. Make sure you check back in frequently to find out what our next sew-a-longs will be. 🙂 Any favorites you’re hoping for? Let us know in the FB group!
