We always love celebrating Me Made May (and at Made for Mermaids, Me Made MERMay!) in the sewing community. The challenge for the whole month can be as low-key or intense as you make it. The basic premise, though, is that each day during the month of May, you wear at least one piece of clothing that *you* made. New to sewing or the sewing community and want to know more about the history of Me Made May? Check out the creator’s post here. We hope you have fun this month sewing new items, revisiting some of your old favorites, and getting inspiration from others that sew.
This week is a round up of the first seven days from our gorgeous team of mermaids! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing some of our customer favorites too. We LOVE seeing what you make each day, and are so thankful that you choose to share your creations with us on social media!
NOTE: As some of these are older patterns, they may not be available in our full current adult size range, and/or may not be available in A0 or projector files. Be sure to check the size chart and information posted with each listing!
Week 1 Round Up:
Stephanie started us off strong with this hacked Venus! We’re OBSESSED with the ruffle straps.
Michelle has us dreaming of summer with this simple, classic Catalina swim cover up. I love it in a basic black!
Cassie and her Serena skort are a perfect match! How much do we love the POCKETS?? Serena pairs great with the rest of our Barbelle Collection.
Okayyy, Florence! We love this Lulu tank she made, perfect for workouts, errands, or just hanging out.
Aaronica in these knit Zoey overalls? LOVE. They pair perfectly with a bandeau top or simply tank for an easy, comfy Me Made May look.
Livia should send this Aaronica romper over to me right this minute. We love the fun back detail!
Bee is SERVING in this anything-but-basic Remi tank paired with jeans AND with a separate skirt. We were not ready for their fire!!
Me Made May in the M4M Community:
I know we say this is just about every blog post, but we truly LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing what you’ve made for you, or the people you love and sew for. It’s so fun to see your visions paired up with our Made for Mermaids patterns. Scroll through our social media, and be sure to comment on your favorites! Be on the lookout for community features in our next round up.
We can’t wait to see what else you sew up this month!
