I’m so thrilled to unveil our latest pattern- the Audrey pattern! The inspiration behind the Audrey pattern came from my desire to create a versatile and timeless wardrobe staple for both my daughter and myself. I wanted a pattern that could be a basic layering piece with ALL the options to be dressed up for any year-round event. I made the first version specifically for my husband’s lieutenant promotional ceremony at the fire station.
I was too busy celebrating to get any photos without my jacket at the ceremony, but I loved how the dress came out and quickly moved on to making several basic versions for everyday wear for my daughter and me.
Audrey is designed to be fitted throughout with a center seam at the back for a beautiful fit.
ALL the options:
- 5 neckline options too: turtleneck, mock turtleneck, crew, scoop, or v-neck.
- 5 hemline options: crop, top, mini (adult only), dress, or midi length. Add optional side slits to the dress or midi length.
- 5 sleeve options: cap, short, long sleeves, a bishop with short cuff, or a bishop with long cuff.
I hope this will also be your new go-to wardrobe essential too! Whether you’re sewing for yourself or your little ones, we have you covered with Youth & Adult sizing, plus a Bundle if you want to create matching outfits.

Fabric + Notions
Choose brushed or ribbed sweater knits for a classic sweater dress, ribbed knits for a basic or date night look, or even DBP for everyday wear. You have many options with fabrics on this one, depending on what look you’re going for.
Drafted for medium-weight knits with at least 40% horizontal stretch, like brushed or ribbed sweater knits, ribbed knits, DBP, etc. You want something with good recovery for the neckband and sleeve cuff. Thicker fabrics with less stretch, like a Liverpool, Ponte, french terry, etc., will feel tighter and may not be as comfortable or work well for the neckband, turtleneck, or cuffs. Something with a softer drape and more vertical stretch, like a very light sweater knit, rayon spandex and some waffle knits tend to ‘grow’ with wear and feel looser/longer than the intended fit.
You may also need:
- Lightweight knit interfacing for the v-neck option.
- Optional- 1/2″ interfacing or knit hem tape for hemming.
