Just joining in on the capsule contest this year? There’s still time! Check out all the details here, plus ideas for a professional and/or work from home capsule, and loungewear capsule inspo!
If you’re heading out on a much needed vacation or outdoor adventure, we have so many great patterns to help you build a capsule. Heading to a warm and sunny destination? Our Resort Collection has so many fun patterns, for resorts and beyond!
You could use any of the Resort Collection or Mermaid Shores patterns to help build the vacation capsule of your dreams! I would use the same concepts as I use for any capsule – choose 3-4 tops, 3-4 bottoms, 2-3 layering pieces, and then add in a swimsuit or two. I would probably use Marisol and P4P’s Summer Cover Up as two of my layering pieces, plus a cardigan for the random days where I’m cold! Mila, a Jade separates hacks, and a pair of Lucy shorts might be my bottom options. For tops, I’d got with Tallulah, a Felicity tank, and an Aria tank. Just for good measure, you could throw in a cute Naomi dress, too.
Rachel made the CUTEST travel adventure capsule for a recent trip she took to Utah. I’m so excited to share her pictures and adorable video with you. You can see more of what she’s up to over on IG @yondercouture.
First up is this adorable ombre Lee Raglan, with a Patterns for Pirates Slouchy Headwarmer freebie and P4P Loggers:
A little warm for long sleeves? No worries! Throw on this short sleeve Patterns for Pirates Sporty Piko instead!
You can NEVER have enough basic tanks, and this Tess tank is perfect for any sort of vacation:
Now comes the fun – mixing and matching different capsule pieces! Here’s the Tess paired with Loggers and Cocoon Cardigan:
This Go-To Jacket from Patterns for Pirates is so fun! I love the little pops of color:
The same Lee pairs just as well with the Peg Legs:
Getting a little chillier? Layer the Sporty Piko over the Lee!
Next up is the Go-To paired with Paige and the Peg Legs:
She paired the Cocoon Cardigan with the same Paige Piko and Peg Legs from above:
As an added piece, Rachel threw in a pair of RTW jeans. Always a good idea for a travel capsule!!
I know I can’t be the only one that is hoping for an invite next time Rachel is off on an adventure somewhere!!! I’ll be patiently waiting for my invitation 🙂
How are your capsules coming along??? Don’t forget to share your progress with us over in our Facebook group or on Insta! We can’t wait to see how it’s going for you! Happy sewing!
