Woohoo, we are at Day 4 of our Loren sew-a-long! Loren truly is a quick sew once you get the hang of it 🙂 Today we’ll be constructing our cups, and attaching our straps. Whether you are sewing the lined or unlined version, the raw strap edge will be enclosed.
For the unlined version, you will sandwich the strap between the main cup and lining cup, right sides together. After stitching with 1/2″ seam allowance, you’ll flip the cup pieces so that the right sides are facing out, and the raw strap edge is enclosed. After flipping right side out, top stitch along the scallop edges. Finally, trim back any of your lining that is showing.
For the lined version, you will sandwich the strap between the main cup and lining cup, right sides together. For the lined version, you will sew all the way around the cup (excluding the bottom edge) before turning right side out.
