The Sommer patterns (women’s, youth, dolly, and baby!) are our sew-a-long patterns for this month! Don’t have your copies yet? Grab them over here! This month’s sew-a-long is sponsored by Sincerely Rylee Fabrics, Thread & Grain, and of course, M4M and P4P.
Our Day 3 step is the back neckline! If you are doing single straps, you will match the edges of your binding to the edges of your bodice, as shown in your tutorial. If you are doing double straps, remember that you will have binding that extends beyond the bodice on each side (to make your second set of straps).
- Attach binding with a 3/8″ seam allowance
- Don’t skip steps with binding! It will usually end up taking longer in the long run 😉
- Use a stretch stitch or a chain stitch (coverstitch) to edge stitch your binding/strap pieces
Want to sew along with me? Check out today’s video!
If you have questions about today’s steps, you are always welcome to post in our SAL group so we can help you! Be sure to check in each day during the SAL, and look for daily posts to enter our giveaways. We can’t wait to see what you create this week!
