Our newest pattern is here, and it will be your new summer go-to! Goldie is a fitted knit tank with options that can easily be dressed up or down. The front has a wide scoop neckline. You can choose a scoop or low back. Add an optional sports bra with exposed elastic (adult only). The neckline and arms are finished with knit binding. Choose a thin or thick binding. It has several hemlines: crop, top, mini (adult only), dress, midi, or maxi. Plus, single or double optional side slits.
Make Goldie in an athletic knit for a workout top, ribbed knit for everyday wear, or an ITY or bamboo maxi for vacations. It’s so versatile your closet will soon be full of Goldie tanks! Whether you’re sewing for yourself or your little ones, we have you covered with Youth & Adult sizing, plus a Bundle if you want to create matching outfits.

Choosing Your Options
We have lots of tester photos in our FB group and on the site if you want to see a variety of photos of each option before you decide! Here is a quick snapshot of the different options:
Removable Cup Hack:
Want to use the Goldie as a sports bra or just want to add some cups to the shelf bra? This hack is quick and simple!
You’re going to cut an extra front shelf bra piece. You can use powermesh or the same fabric as your shelf bra.
You need to cut a small half circle from the shelf bra piece. Optional- serge or finish the edge of the cut out.
Align the pieces with wrong sides together and baste around the raw edges, leaving the cut out portion open. Optional- sew a straight line down the center to keep the cups from moving around.
Now, treat the piece as one and continue to follow the tutorial. You will be able to slip the cups inside the cut out portion.

Fabric + Notions
Goldie is drafted for medium weight knits with at least 40% stretch horizontally and some vertical stretch. Ribbed knits, athletic knits, double brushed poly, cotton lycra, ITY, high quality bamboo or rayon spandex. You want something with good recovery for the bindings. Something with a softer drape and more vertical stretch, like a very light sweater knit, rayon spandex and some waffle knits tend to ‘grow’ with wear and feel looser/longer than the intended fit.
You may also need:
- 1.5″ knit elastic for the shelf bra option.
- Optional- 1/4″-1/2″ clear elastic to stabilize shoulder seam and/or binding, best press or spray starch, 1/2″ interfacing or knit hem tape for hemming.
We hope you love the Goldie pattern, no matter who you sew for! We can’t wait to see how you style yours.
