Lulu is a fitted and simple athletic top. The front has 2 necklines: a high scoop or a soft v-neck. The back is scooped. The wide straps are comfortable and provide ample support. All hemmed options are finished with a shelf bra and the banded options are lined. The shelf bra is finished an elastic enclosed band and optional removable pads. Choose from 5 hemlines: banded sports bra, banded longline, hemmed longline, hemmed crop, and hemmed top. Add clear elastic in the neckline and armsyce for added support. Lulu is the perfect tank for the gym, dance or pole class, swimming, lounging, every day wear, and it’s the perfect tank top for layering.

Skill level:

• •Confident beginner- the burrito roll method and stitching the seams with elastic may be difficult for a fresh beginner.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Drafted for medium weight knits (200gsm +) with 4-way stretch, great recovery, and a minimum 50% horizontal stretch, and 50% vertical stretch.
  • •Look for high spandex content, 5% minimum, but I prefer 12%-25%.
  • •Note- the higher spandex content and heavier weight knits (250gsm+) will feel tighter and give more compression.
• •Fabric Examples for athletic wear: ribbed athletic knits, athletic brushed poly, nylon spandex, poly spandex, supplex, yoga knit, nylon spandex tricot, poly spandex tricot, ribbed tricot, athletic foiled knit, etc.
• •Fabric Examples for more causal wear: cotton lycra, double brushed poly, thicker ribbed knit, etc.

Notions:

• •1/4″ clear elastic for all options.
• •Enclosed elastic band or shelf/sports bra: 1″ knit elastic
• •Optional- removable cups or pads
• •Optional- 1/2″ knit hem tape for hemming.
• •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, and, hem gauge. Ball point, stretch, or jersey needle. Knit twin needle optional.
