Elluin is a showstopping maxi dress designed for woven fabrics. The deep V-neckline is finished with single-fold bias tape. Choose from 4 sleeve options: sleeveless, short or long flutter, or a bishop sleeve with an elastic hem. The adjustable drawstring waist makes getting the perfect fit easy. Choose from a simple maxi skirt or a dramatic high-low ruffle skirt, both with optional inseam pockets. The simple skirt includes an optional mini underlayer for sheer fabrics like lace or mesh, plus optional low or high side slits. The high-low skirt includes two ruffle lengths: the short ruffle reaches the ground at the back, while the long ruffle reaches the ground at the front and extends into a gorgeous train at the back. Choose to sew the ruffle with an exposed or traditional seam. Whether you’re sewing for family photos, a vacation, or a special event, Elluin is your new go-to for an effortless, showstopping look.

Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements):

• •Fits upper bust sizes 31″-53″ or 78.7-134.6 cm
• •Fits full bust sizes 30″-60″ or 76.2-153.4 cm
• •Fits natural waist sizes: 23″-57″ or 58.4-134.6 cm.
• •Fits full hip sizes: 34″-64″ or 86.3 – 162.5 cm.

Skill level:

• •Intermediate- The bodice construction finished with single-fold bias and fitting a woven garment may be more challenging for a true beginner.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Woven apparel fabrics with drape. If you use fabric with less drape such as 100% cotton, it will fit more boxy and stiff.
  • •Rayon challis, voile, lawn, batiste, silk crepe, rayon crepe, chiffon, chambray, linen, lace/mesh if choosing the layered look, etc.

Notions:

• •1/2 wide single fold bias tape (making your own is recommend for the neckline and armscye for sleeveless at the very least, pre-made can be used for the waist and lantern sleeve)
• •Drawstring for the waist- macrame rope, nylon cord, etc ( you can also make your own)
• •3/8″ elastic for bishop sleeves
• •A hook and eye can be added to the bust for versatility of more coverage without being permanent.
• •Basics: iron, marking tool, ruler, snips, thread, pins or clips, scissors or rotary cutter, hem gauge.
