Adult Florence is a beautiful knit one shoulder pattern. The bodice is finished with a shelf bra and clear elastic for stability. Choose to add single or double straps for added support. It includes both a solid or cut out bodice. The cut out bodice is paired with the crop top or bodycon skirt. The crop top is finished with a band that can be tied in a bow or knot and hits at the natural waist for a flattering fit. The bodycon skirt can also be paired with the solid or cut out bodice and includes 4 lengths: mini, dress, midi, or maxi. You can add an optional side seam slit on any option (must be used on the maxi length). Choose from a low, high, or extra-high slit. It also includes a full circle skirt in a dress length that pairs with the solid bodice. The circle skirt also includes optional inseam pockets. Dress Florence up for vacations, special date nights, photoshoots, or wear every day causally.

Youth Florence is a beautiful knit one shoulder pattern. The fully lined bodice is finished with clear elastic for stability. Choose to add single or double straps for added support. The full circle skirt is perfect for twirling and can be cut with a side seam to save fabric or on the double fold for a quick sew. Choose from three length options: mini peplum, peplum, or dress length. The mini peplum is perfect to pair with shorts or bummies for the summer months. The peplum pairs with leggings wonderfully. You can choose to add inseam pockets to the dress length with a side seam! Florence is perfect for special family vacations or everyday wear!

Skill level:

• •Confident beginner- using clear elastic in the seams may be difficult for a newer sewist.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit.
• •Choose a medium weight knit with at least 50% stretch horizontally and vertically. Choose a knit with good recovery, such as cotton spandex, high quality rib knits with lots of recovery, etc.
  • •Fabrics with less vertical stretch may end up shorter in length.
  • •Double brushed poly works okay, but doesn’t give great support in the shelf bra.
  • •Fabric with less stretch and recovery, such as liverpool, ponte, rayon french terry will feel tighter than intended.
  • •I do not recommend using a knit without good recovery for the bodice, such as cotton interlock, rayon spandex, waffle knit, and some rib knits. This will result in a bodice that is too big/ill fitting.

Notions:

• •1″ knit elastic for the shelf bra.
• •1/4″ or 3/8″ clear elastic for all options. Elastic is necessary, don’t try to skip!!
• •Optional – 1/2″ interfacing or knit hem tape for hemming.
• •Basics: pins or clips, scissors or rotary cutter, ruler, hem gauge, marking tool. Ballpoint, stretch, or jersey needle, in size 9-11.
