Brenda is a quick and simple knit dolman top and tunic. Loaded with options and an adorable fit that is a slim fit through the hips. Brenda comes in both a solid front option or a button-front option.

Women’s Brenda Features:

• •Dolman top and tunic made for knit fabrics.
• •Solid front option with 2 neckline options: scoop neck or low plunge v-neck.
• •Hemmed faux button-front top option that ties in the front.
• •Solid front option has 3 hemlines: straight top, curved top, or straight tunic length.
• •Button-front option has 2 hemlines: straight top (hits above high hip) or high-low top (front hits above high hip and back is curved).
• •The curved top length extends past tunic length in the back for optimum coverage.
• •6 sleeve options: short sleeves, fitted 3/4 or long sleeves, ruffled sleeves, or a relaxed fit, cuffed long sleeve with or without the ruffle sleeve layered on top.

Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements):

• •Fits upper bust sizes 31″-53″ or 78.7-134.6 cm
• •Fits full bust sizes 30″-60″ or 76.2-153.4 cm
• •Fits natural waist sizes: 23″-57″ or 58.4-134.6 cm.
• •Fits full hip sizes: 34″-64″ or 86.3 – 162.5 cm.

Skill level:

• •Beginner for solid option and confident beginner for button-front option.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Fabric content will affect the drape of the bodice and how tight or loose the bodice and sleeves will feel. A light to medium knit with at least 30% stretch.
  • •Waffle knits, double brushed poly, certain sweater knits, rib knits, modal and rayon blends.
• •A NOTE ABOUT FABRIC CHOICE – Fabric with less spandex/lycra content, such as rayon spandex and waffle knits, will feel less fitted and will be better suited for the fitted sleeve option. Fabric such as cotton lycra or rayon french terry, or fabric with a higher spandex/lycra content will be boxier in the bodice and will be better suited for the loose-fitting sleeve. If you use a knit with a high spandex content for the fitted sleeve option (such as cotton spandex or athletic knits), the sleeves will fit tighter than intended. I do not recommend using french terry blends for the fitted sleeve.

Notions:

• •Button-front option: 4-6 buttons (7/16″ or smaller) or snaps, a small amount of lightweight interfacing.
• •Optional: 1/2″ wash away hem tape, knit twin needle, 1/4″ or 3/8″ clear elastic, button spacing tool.
• •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, and marking tool. Ballpoint, stretch, or jersey needle.
