Youth Aurora is a knit playsuit full of options. It’s fitted in the chest, semi fitted in the waist and hips, and loose in the leg. The neckline is finished with a facing or shelf bra. The optional shelf bra can be finished with exposed or enclosed elastic, or a simple band. Choose from 3 inseam options: shorts , cropped or pants. Plus optional inseam pockets. Aurora is such a quick sew, your little one’s closet will soon be full of playsuits. It’s perfect to wear it alone, layered over your favorite tee, or with a jacket or cardigan over top!

Skill level:

• •Beginner- The straps and neckline will be the most difficult for a new beginner.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit.
• •Choose a medium-weight knit with at least 40% stretch horizontally and 30% vertical stretch.
  • Fabrics like double brushed poly, rib knits with lots of recovery, cotton spandex, high quality modal or bamboo lycra.
  • Fabrics with less recovery, such as rayon spandex and ITY, may “grow” with wear and fit longer than intended.
  • Fabrics with less vertical stretch may fit tighter through the trunk.

Notions:

• •Optional- clear elastic for neckline and straps for added support.
• •Optional shelf bra: 1/2″ knit elastic.
• •Optional- 1/2″ interfacing or knit hem tape for hemming.
• •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, and marking tool. Ball point, stretch, or jersey needle. Knit twin needle optional.
