Ruby is a knit top or dress, perfect for layering with cardigans, for special occasions, or everyday wear.

Youth Ruby Features:

•Made for knit fabrics.
•Fitted through the chest, waist, and hips.
•Choose a plain front or faux button placket front.
•The back has a seam down the center for a beautiful fit.
•The neckline and straps are made with knit binding.
•2 neckline options: scoop neck or slight v neck.
•2 hemline options: top or dress.

Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements):

•Fits sizes 1/2 (about 9-12 months) to 14.
•Chest sizes 19″-32″ or 46.2-81.2 cm
•Waist sizes 19.5″-28″ or 49.5-71.1 cm
•Hip sizes 19.5″-34″ of 49.5-86.3 cm

Skill level:

•Confident beginner

Suggested Fabrics:

•Fabric content will affect the drape and fit.
•Drafted for lightweight knits with at least 40% horizontal stretch and some recovery.
- •Brushed polyester, brushed ribbed knit, brushed waffle knit, some ribbed knits, etc. all work well.
  - •Cotton lycra is not recommended for this pattern.
- •Fabrics with less recovery, such as rayon spandex, may “grow” with wear and fit longer than intended and are not recommended for the binding pieces.

Notions:

•Faux button placket option: button spacing tool (optional but extremely helpful).
•Optional: 1/2″ wash away hem tape, knit twin needle, 3/8″ clear elastic.
•Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, and marking tool. Ballpoint, stretch, or jersey needle.
