Kali is a beautiful and unique knit pattern that’s right on trend. The thick binding creates a crossover halter on the front and back neckline. The back bodice has a center seam for a wonderful fit. Choose from a top or dress length. The top pairs perfectly with bell bottoms, wide-leg pants, or shorts. The dress is perfect for wearing every day or dressing up for vacations, photo shoots, or special occasions. Kali will be your little one’s new favorite!

• •Fits sizes 1/2 (about 9-12 months) to 14.
• •Chest sizes 19″-32″ or 46.2-81.2 cm
• •Waist sizes 19.5″-28″ or 49.5-71.1 cm
• •Hip sizes 19.5″-34″ of 49.5-86.3 cm

Skill level:

• •Confident beginner- stitching the binding will be the most difficult step for a fresh beginner.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit. This pattern has been drafted for fabric that has 60% stretch and 4-way stretch.
  • Brushed polyester, brushed ribbed knit, some ribbed knits, cot-ton lycra, athletic knit etc. all work well.
    • Fabrics with less recovery, such as rayon spandex and ITY, may “grow” with wear and fit longer than intended and are not recommended for the binding pieces. If you do use it for binding, adding knit interfacing will help prevent the grow-ing that the garment can do.

Notions:

• •Optional- 1/2″ knit hem tape for hemming.
• •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, and marking tool. Ball point, stretch, or jersey needle. Knit twin needle optional.
