Kamali is a showstopper skirt designed for lightweight knits. The front double slits add just the right amount of drama, with three slit height options: mid, high, or ultra-high. Choose from a sleek sheath fit or a flowy swing fit to match your style. Both fits are available in short (mid-thigh), midi, or maxi lengths. Finish with your choice of a high-waisted basic waistband or a contour waistband for added shaping. Pair Kamali with your favorite bodysuit, crop, or top—or wear it over a swimsuit as a coverup. Perfect for date nights, photoshoots, or vacations.

Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements):

• •Fits natural waist sizes: 23″-57″ or 58.4-134.6 cm.
• •Fits full hip sizes: 34″-64″ or 86.3 – 162.5 cm.

Skill level:

• Confident beginner- sewing the slits will be the most difficult for a true beginner.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit.
• •Kamali is drafted for light weight knits with a lot of drape and good recovery.
  • •Rayon Spandex, Bamboo Spandex, Lightweight DBP (Not custom), Rib Knits (with recovery), Modal, ITY, Light Weight Jersey,
• •You can use fabrics with less recovery but I highly recommend either choosing a different fabric for your waistband or using elastic in the waistband.
• •Depending on the fabric you choose and it’s vertical stretch, recovery, and weight and you may need to adjust the lengths as maxi versions tend to have more weight and can pull down the hemline.
• •You can use medium weight fabrics or fabrics with high recovery but you will need to make adjustments to the waistband as well as hips to keep the intended fit of the skirt.

Notions:

• •Optional- 1/4″ clear elastic to add support to the waistband.
• •Optional- 1/2″ wonder under or knit hem tape
• •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, safety pin or bodkin, and marking tool. Ball point, stretch, or jersey needle.
