12 Days of Christmas 2021- Day 12: Glasses Case

It’s the last day of our Christmas freebies! I hope you’ve enjoyed them all so far. Today we have a glasses case pattern for you! These are great as a stocking stuffer, and using your scrap fabric up!

SUPPLIES:

1/4 yard or scrap piece of woven fabric for the main
1/4 yard or scrap piece of woven fabric for the lining
1/4 yard or scrap piece of lightweight fusible interfacing

LET’S GET STARTED!

1/4″ seam allowance

Step 1: PREPPING

Go grab the pattern here! The pattern is 100% free, but you do need to add it to your cart and checkout. Then, it will always be available to download from your account. Print and assemble the pattern. Alternatively, you can use the projector file if you’re using a projector. There is 1 page to print out. Pattern layout below:

Step 2: Cutting

Cut 1 piece in your main fabric, 1 piece (mirror image to main) in your lining fabric, and 1 piece (mirror image to main) in lightweight interfacing. Add the interfacing to the wrong side of the main fabric.

Step 3: Stitching

With right sides together, stitch main to lining with a 1/4″ seam, along curved and short sides.

Trim the seam to 1/8″ and clip corners.

Open seams, match the seam allowances, and place fabrics right side together. Push seams and fabric right side together along the straight edge.

You should have 4 layers, lining (right sides together) on top of the main (right sides together). Stitch along the straight edge again 1/8″ from the first stitch line.
