LET’S GET STARTED!

Step 2: CUTTING
- All in inches.
- Cut 2 main, 2 lining, optional 2 batting of the stocking (mirror images)
- Cut 1 cuff 3.25 x 6
- Cut 1 loop (or use twine/ribbon) 1.5 x 7.75
- Optional- cut 1 heel & toe each
Step 3: SEWING
Optional- add heel & toe pieces to one main stocking piece. Use a zip zag, longer straight stitch, or hand sew around pieces.
With the right sides together, place the two stocking pieces on top of each other and then stitch. Do the same on the lining pieces, but leave an opening to turn later. If adding the optional batting, add it to the wrong side of your main piece.
Clip curves/seams or use pinking shears. Press the unsewn edge on the lining piece 1/4″ to the wrong side. Set aside.
Fold the cuff piece in half, with right sides together. Stitch.
Press the seam open and then fold it in half with the wrong sides together. Set aside.
Fold the loop piece as if making a binding. Press in half to create a center crease. Then, fold each edge toward the center. Fold in half again. Edge stitch closed.
Place the cuff over the main stocking, aligning the raw edges. Fold the loop piece in half and baste at the outside seam along the top of the stocking.
Flip the lining stocking wrong side out and place the main stocking inside the lining, so they are right sides together. Stitch around the top.
Flip it right side out through the opening on the lining side. Then, close the opening and press the lining inside the main.
Tada, all done!
