SUPPLIES:
- Fabric – woven fabric like quilting cotton, linen, etc.

- 1/8 for upper main
- 1/4 for lower main
- 1/4 for lining
- 1/4 or 5″ of foam or interfacing- you really can’t skip some interfacing/foam or it won’t stand up correctly.
LET’S GET STARTED!

- Cut 1 upper main: 2 x 15
- Cut 1 lower main: 3.75 x 15
- Cut 1 main, cut 1 lining, cut 1 interfacing or foam in the bottom circle
- Cut 1 interfacing or foam: 5.5 x 15
- Cut 1 lining: 5 x 15
Step 3: SEWING
Stitch all the rectangle pieces together- lining, self-binding, upper main, and lower main with a 1/4″ seam.
Press the seams toward the self binding piece.
Fuse or use basting spray to add foam/interfacing to the wrong side of the main.
Fold the piece in half, with the right sides together, and align seams and raw edges. Stitch together, leaving a 3″-4″ opening on the lining side. Note- leave as big of an opening as possible to make turning it later easier. You could add a little tag or ribbon to the seam on the main side if you wanted.
Press the unsewn edge 1/4″ to the wrong side. Set aside.
Fuse or use basting spray to add foam/interfacing to the wrong side of the main circle bottom.
Quarter the bottom circle and the bottom of the main side. Flip the main piece wrong side out.
With the right sides together, pin the bottom circle to the main. Match the quarter points and ease the bottom in place. Stitch together. The repeat with the lining bottom.
Flip it right side out through the opening on the lining side. Note- if you used a thicker interfacing, work slowly; it may take some time to flip it. Then, close the opening.
Use a pressing ham or stuff bag with a towel/extra fabric to help press all seams and lining to the wrong side. You need to press really well/a lot to get the self binding to look nice and the lining all the way inside. Edgestitch along the top of the self binding.
Look how cute this one is that our tester super sized!
