Capri is a flattering woven 1/4 circle skirt with several options. Designed for soft apparel woven fabric. Choose from 2 views. View A is a simple skirt and view B is a skirt with a front slit. Both options include 3 hemline lengths, mini, midi, or maxi. View A can be cut with the straight grain or on the bias for a beautiful fit. View B has 3 slit height options: a mid, high, or extra-high slit. The waistband is fitted and cleanly finished with enclosed seams. All options are finished with a side zipper. Capri can be dressed down with an oversized tee, tank top, or denim jacket. Easily dress it up for special nights or occasions with a bodysuit, cardigan, or heels!

Venice is a fun, fitted, henley knit pattern in full bust sizes 30”-60”. Venice is packed full of options! Choose from a crop or top length OR a thong or brief bodysuit. The bodysuit is finished with picot elastic and hook and eye tape. Includes a working henley placket neckline in a high or low option. Perfect for year-round wear with sleeveless, short, half, 3/4 or long sleeves options. The neckline and sleeveless options are finished with a knit band. Wonderful for date nights, dressed up, layered, or for everyday wear!

Capri Features:

• • Made for apparel woven fabrics.
• • 1/4 circle skirt.

Skill level:

• •Intermediate- Fitted woven garments require more fitting than knits and may be difficult for beginner sewists. Also includes zipper installation and working with apparel wovens, in general, may be difficult for beginners.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit.
• •Drafted for lightweight apparel wovens.
  • •Rayon Challis, lightweight crepes, chiffon, georgette, silk charmeuse, some linens with drape, etc.
  • •Quilting cotton and heavier weight fabrics will create a more stiff skirt and are not recommended.
  • •Note: stretch wovens can be used, but you may need to customize fit depending on the amount of stretch.

 

Notions:

• •Light-weight fusible interfacing for the waistband.
• •7″-9″ invisible zipper.
• •Optional: 1/2″ wonder under or interfacing to stabilize zipper seam
• •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, marking tool.

Skill level:

• •Intermediate- Sewing the henley placket may be difficult for beginner sewists.

Suggested Fabrics:

• •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit.
• •Drafted for light to medium weight knits with at least 50% horizontal stretch, 40% vertical stretch, and good recovery.
  • Double brushed polyester, most ribbed knit, cotton lycra.
  • Lighter weight knits without recovery, such as rayon spandex, modal, bamboo, etc., tend to ‘grow with wear’ and are not recommended for the bodysuit option.
  • Fabrics with less stretch or fabrics with strong recovery (such as athletic knit or cotton lycra) will fit tighter.
  • Band fabric should have a strong recovery.

 

Notions:

• •Snaps or buttons for the placket.
• •All options require knit interfacing for the placket.
• •Bodysuit option – ⅜” picot or lingerie elastic
• •Bodysuit option – continuous hook and eye tape
• •Optional but highly recommended: wash away hem tape
